Techlaw, LLP partner Dana Robinson is heading up an IP law clinic at USD School of Law along with Professor Ted Sichelman. The program is based on the same principles as the already successful Entrepreneurship Tech Clinic that the law school has been running in partnership with Connect for the past few years. The new IP Clinic puts students under the supervision of local law firms, where they will do work for pro bono clients that come through the IP Clinic (or come from the firm’s pro bono activities). It is a great way for law firms to bring in clients that may start as pro bono, but could convert to regular clients as their venture grows into a successful business or obtains investment funding.
