Dr. Gendloff also has substantial experience in evaluating inventions for patentability, freedom to operate, validity, infringement, design around possibilities and strategic value; patent searching and evaluation of patent landscapes; client counseling including IP due diligence, patent acquisition strategic development, evaluation of patent portfolios, and contract and litigation strategies; and preparation, negotiation and evaluation of contracts including patent licensing, nondisclosure, material transfer, technology transfer, collaboration, and research agreements.

Before joining TechLaw LLP, Dr. Gendloff was Senior Patent Counsel and Associate General Counsel at Enzo Biochem in New York, which followed more than 10 years of law firm practice at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal (now Dentons) in New York and New Jersey, Amster, Rothstein & Ebenstein in New York, and Howell & Haferkamp and Senniger, Powers, Leavitt & Roedel in St. Louis.  During law school, he clerked at the U.S. Forest Service Forest Products Laboratory in Madison WI.

Before law school, Dr. Gendloff was a research biologist at the University of Wisconsin, Agrigenetics Advanced Science Company, and Michigan State University.
