Marc Baumgartner

Marc Baumgartner, Baumgartner Patent Law, is of counsel to TechLaw, LLP, where his practice focuses on providing patent searches and patentability opinions, patent drafting, filing, and prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, cease and desist letters, licensing and assignment agreements, and trademark prosecution and consultation.

Marc has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of technologies, including immunology, gene delivery, microarrays, virology, bacteriology, stem cells, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, ultrasound, semi-conductors probes, solar panels, consumer electronics, and mechanical devices.

Legal Experience

Marc has over ten years of intellectual property experience. Prior to joining TechLaw, LLP of counsel, Marc founded Baumgartner Patent Law, was the managing partner of Intellectual Property at Achtel Law Firm, APC, and was an associate at Knobbe, Martens, Olson, and Bear, LLP. Through his work there, Marc represented numerous leading institutions including Genentech, Inc, Illumina, Inc, Ashland Inc, and Salk Institute for Biological Sciences.

During law school, Marc externed for the honorable Napoleon Jones in the Southern District of California.
